How to choose your pants by body measurements

We've designed our sizing charts around body measurements to ensure the best possible fit for our adaptive trousers. To find your ideal size, you'll need to measure your:

  1. Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, typically the narrowest part of your torso.
  2. Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the measuring tape parallel to the floor.
  3. Thighs: Measure around the fullest part of one thigh.

Important note on waist adjustment: Our adaptive trousers feature an adjustable waist. This means that if the size fits your hips and thighs comfortably, the waist measurement can fluctuate by approximately 20% and still provide a great fit.

Measuring from a seated or lying position

We know that standing to take measurements isn't always possible. You can comfortably and accurately measure yourself while lying down or sitting in your wheelchair. Just follow these simple steps:

  • For Waist: If you're seated, lean slightly to the side to expose your natural waistline. If lying down, simply locate your natural waist. Measure around this area.
  • For Hips: While seated or lying down, ensure the tape measure goes around the fullest part of your hips and bottom. Try to keep the tape measure as level as possible.
  • For Thighs: While seated or lying down, measure around the fullest part of one thigh. Make sure the leg is relaxed.

Don't have a measuring tape? No problem!

You can still accurately measure yourself using a simple household item:

  1. Grab a ribbon, rope, or even a piece of string.
  2. Wrap it comfortably around the area you need to measure (waist, hips, or thigh) while seated or lying down.
  3. Mark the point where the ribbon overlaps.
  4. Lay the ribbon flat and measure its length with a standard ruler.

Measure your favorite garment for a perfect match

For an even more precise fit, you can compare the measurements of your favorite well-fitting pants or shirt to the measurements of our garments. We provide detailed garment measurements for all our items. Simply:

  1. Lay your favorite item flat on a bed or flat surface.

Cold shouldn't decide when you go outside.

If you use a wheelchair, a handbike, or a sit-ski, you already know the problem: most winter gear is built for people who can move their legs to stay warm. You can't shiver your way through -20°C on a Batec, an Alber e-Pilot, or a Klaxon. When your feet and legs go cold, the ride is over, whatever else is working.

Racer Extreme Pro was built for the days everyone else stays inside. Tested through real Baltic and Scandinavian winters, including down to -20°C and wet conditions, it keeps outdoor life open when the weather closes in.

What makes it different: separate legs, full compatibility.

Unlike a single-pocket footmuff, Racer Extreme Pro has individually separated leg chambers. That means you keep full use of your handbike, your Exotek or other specialised mobility tech, or a wheelchair with separate leg rests, without the fabric bunching, twisting, or restricting movement. Freedom to move is the whole point.

Four layers everywhere, six under the feet and seat.

Every layer has a job:

  • Inner layer: fast-drying polar fleece against the skin, which also prevents sliding inside the footmuff
  • Insulation: double-layer 3M Thinsulate J250, fully waterproof and effective even when wet
  • Outer shell: water-resistant Oxford fabric, scratch-resistant enough to work alongside a service dog jumping into your lap. It holds up against everyday wet weather
  • Underneath the feet and seat only: two additional layers, a neoprene barrier blocking cold from below and an anti-slip layer keeping you securely in place on the chair or footrest

That's four layers of material across the whole footmuff, and six layers under the feet and seat, where the cold and the wear are greatest. Neoprene reinforcement is also placed along the spine for extra protection, in addition to the buttocks and feet.

Racer Extreme Pro comes in 20 sizes across two lengths: XS to 7XL in standard length (for height 165–175 cm), and a Long version, M to 7XL (for height 176–196 cm). We built this range because we actually listen, and because getting the fit right matters to us as much as it matters to you.

The Warm Feet Guarantee.

If your feet start feeling cold within two hours at temperatures down to -10°C, you can return the footmuff. So far, nobody has.

It's become a quiet favourite among ice fishermen, who spend hours motionless in the cold and need gear that simply doesn't quit.

Easy to live with.

Machine washable, inside out, at 40°C. Water-resistant, two-way zippers let you open the lower section to check your feet without removing the whole footmuff.
